Job Summary
Crew Chief, Technical Entertainment is responsible for working part of the show crew technical aspects of assigned entertainment venue or events ensuring show quality and a positive guest experience.
Major Responsibilities
Responsible for the execution and quality assurance of show crew's technical operations of the assigned entertainment venues. Conduct safety operation process and procedure.
Completion the daily duties within the assigned venue(s). This includes but is not limited to daily pre-checks, operation, trainings, and establishment of a safe working environment. Complete dry tech and conduct the show operation and procedure execution. Has the ability to handle show position emergency matters.
Available and flexible for day work schedules, work calls, special events, rehearsals, trainings, maintenance, and evening performances.
Responsible to execute and enforce all policies and procedures as defined by the Entertainment Department governing the safe operation of all technical equipment and pyrotechnic devices.
Attend all necessary mandatory training classes to take advantage of educational opportunities, which will enhance and improve their job performance. Complete the on-the-job training and operational cross training base on operation needs. Improve the positive impact in the team during operation.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities following established UBR policies, procedures, trainings and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned. This includes but is not limited to use fixed assets and consumables properly.
Qualifications
Experience in entertainment/theater industry 3-5 years or above
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Candidates with below qualifications/abilities are preferred:
• Audio: DIGICO SD/S、YAMAHA、JBL、D&B、Shure operation and management、Clear-Com operation and management.
• Lighting: MA3 or MA2、moving light、dimmer、DMX、SFX、Cable wiring、lighting fixture installation, etc.
• Video: Video system、projector、D3、video editor, etc.
• Prop: Prop、animation figure、strong prop maintain and problem solving skill.
• Rigging: Rigging skill、participate and lead rigging installation、 safety and rescue skillHave good secretarial skills.
• Automation: Familiar with stage machinery, experience in automating Navigator console or other consoles.
Knowledge of Universal preferred technical theater software and show control systems like RSS, Medialon, Alcorn Mcbride, Qsys Designer & Qlab.
Able to use Microsoft Office with administration experience; Oral Communication skills and Leading & Motivating teams.
Education
High school degree or GED required. Diploma from a college or university in related filed or equivalent experience of a minimum of 3-5 years within the Theatre, Theme Park or Technical Entertainment industries preferred.
