- Execute experiments, and analyze and interpret data to make sound technical recommendations on product and process

- Provide technical risk assessment/perspectives related to new product development
- Translate product attributes into formal specifications for manufacture
- Investigate and apply new technology to provide a competitive advantage
- Partner externally to source ingredients and leverage vendor expertise in ingredient functionality
- Lead development for quality/product improvement initiatives
- Participate as an active member in cross-functional teams comprised of individuals across Product and Process Function, Regions, Platform, Ingredient D&A and more. Qualifications
- BS or greater in Food Science or related fields, MS or greater preferred
- Minimum 2-4 years in a Food Company, based on degree level
- Strong consumer focus and demonstrated ability to work well in both qualitative and quantitative consumer research
- Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into strategic and tactical project goals and objectives
- Proven ability to make significant technical scientific advances utilizing internal and/or external resources
- Demonstrated understanding of how to incorporate business needs into technical decisions
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments/ tasks
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Familiarity with data science a plus
- Cross-functional experience a plus
- Experience with PowerPoint and presentation writing
- Willingness to travel

OverviewThe Product Function Sr. Scientist role will be responsible for delivering program development for the Product Intelligence program and well as providing global oversight for 1 or more brands within the program.
