- Work within international, multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of electricity and renewable market consultancy engagements;
- Manage projects and project teams under supervision of Project Supervisor;
- Lead on project report and content delivery, with assistance from project team;
- Interact directly with clients in English and Chinese, explaining/discussing project approach and outputs and providing industry insights;
- Conduct market research and analysis on a broad range of energy (electricity and renewable) sector topics;
- Support in the development of materials for competitive bids and work with team members on proposals and pitch presentations.
- At least four years of industry experience in utilities, consulting or finance, with an acute understanding of China energy market dynamics and regulatory landscape;
- Experience of managing complex projects delivering market analysis / due diligence / strategic advice on China's electricity or renewable energy market;
- Excellent presentation skills are essential;
- Experience with electricity market modelling (such as with PLEXOS or other software / tools) is desirable;
- Fluent written and spoken English and (Mandarin) Chinese;
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

- Organised, independent self-starter with a proven interest in the energy sector;
- Excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills – able to distil complex issues and communicate clear insights into China's evolving energy markets, supported by quantitative evidence;

AFRY Management Consulting is seeking to hire Senior Consultant to join our Energy Markets team in Beijing (with an option to be based in Shanghai, if needed). This is a mid-level opportunity to join a dynamic team working on some of the most challenging issues in energy markets in China and globally.
Your role will require you to provide cutting-edge analysis on China's energy markets (and others globally), lead project teams and analysis, and interact directly with a wide range of clients including major financial investors, international developers, utilities, government, and regulatory bodies.
