BJO is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, facilitate and lobby for implementation of HSBC's strategic plans in China at Group, ASP and HBCN levels as well as development plans of HBCN's business.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
·To assist in the development and maintenance of external relations network with government, quasi-government bodies, industry chambers and business communities to support HSBC strategic and business development in PRC;
·To assist in the coordination across function lines to implement Bank strategies and business targets where government relations are an integral part;
·To facilitate business lines on the communication with regulators on policy enquiry, provide advice and identify potential opportunities/challenges;
·To maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.
RequirementsTo be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
·Over two-three years' working experience especially in government and public affairs areas;
·Understanding the functions and general decision making process of government bodies;
·Outstanding written and speaking English capabilities, able to draft key meeting docs and provide consecutive interpretation for senior management meetings;
·Well connected with relevant government bodies, and show readiness for establish contact point for the bank whenever and wherever necessary;
·Results-oriented and able to deliver positive outcomes;
·Able to work under pressure and multiple tasks.
