    Snap China has been a cornerstone of Snap's growth over the past years. Snap has made significant investments in investing in the ads Market in China and has successfully built a highly engaged community for the China advertisers.

    As the General Manager based in our China offices, you will create and drive Snapchat's vision for the business in China and build an effective strategy to drive long term growth. We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader who can manage complexity, communicate effectively and attract and build high performing teams - driving a hyper-growth strategy and a diverse and inclusive team for Snap in China.

    In this full-time position, you will report directly to the APAC President.

    What you'll do:

  • Create and drive Snap's short, medium and long-term vision and strategic priorities in China in partnership with Snap's local, regional and global leadership
  • Owner of the advertising revenue for the China market as well as developing relationships with local C-level executives
  • Serve as a thought leader in the advertising industry to drive vertical and client success leveraging Snap's product and technology developments
  • Become a trusted advisor to Snap's senior advertising partners to increase the organization's ability to drive business results
  • Ensure the implementation of sales strategies to maximize sales as well as profitability in addition to owning and being accountable for quarterly + yearly revenue goals, pipeline management and growth goals across a diversified book of business
  • Proactively shape and develop Product offerings to be relevant to the China market and drive impact
  • Represent Snapchat externally across multiple audiences (partners, advertisers, agencies, media, government to name a few)
  • Build and create a strong culture at Snap in China based on the foundations of Snap's core values of being Kind, Smart and Creative.
  • Build and nurture a high performing, diverse team through hiring outstanding talent, establishing a dynamic organization and driving a team development agenda across all layers of the local business - with diversity and inclusion at the heart of the people strategy
  • Communicate effectively internally across all teams locally, regionally and globally to drive cross-functional alignment on goals, priorities and a shared understanding of market insights and dynamics.
  • Responsible for leading a local cross-functional management team that is focused on local decision making to drive success for the China Team
  • Build relationships with public policy makers, representing Snap's interests and championing our focus on privacy and wellbeing
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to inspire teams and align them around Snap's vision and execute the global vision on a local level
  • Very strong insights and knowledge of the China economic, social, advertising and tech dynamics that impacts Snap's operations in the countries
  • Ability to manage complex situations and drive solutions across all aspects of the business
  • Strong existing relationships across media, tech, advertising and influential stakeholders in China.
  • Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally to drive alignment and reinforce Snap's China vision
  • Represent the needs of the China advertising market to China leadership and the Snap Executive team
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities with proven track record of building and executing on short, medium and long term plans
  • Ability to drive sales performance through proven track record of forecasting capabilities, setting quotas and driving execution
  • Minimum qualifications:

  • Significant experience driving sales and revenue growth, and developing revenue and business development strategies
  • Solid understanding of the advertising industry, including its growth drivers
  • General senior management experience
  • Experience managing large teams of direct and indirect reports in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to travel 30%+ of the time
