- To assess and approve credit applications raised by IBG1/2 units.
- To provide guidance and support to the approvers as the line manager.
- To work as a team with other approvers for China Credit to ensure the credit quality of the bank's China Credit portfolio.
- To support other credit administration activities, including but not limiting to formulation of various credit related policies, guidelines and initiatives.
- To provide in depth credit analysis and facilitate proper deal structuring
- To provide timely credit approvals
- To assist approvers in other countries/regions for credit decision by providing relevant credit opinions or comments.
- To provide guidance as line manager to approvers in the team for credit decision, relevant training, and career development.
- To assess onboarding customers and conduct post monitoring
- To contribute to the development of lending guidelines and portfolio strategies
- To make sure that credit quality of the covered portfolio is sound
- To help develop and refine portfolio strategy and adjust it on an ongoing basis.
- To provide input in deal structuring and in subsequent monitoring.
- University graduates or higher degrees, preferable major in banking, finance, business administration, or related areas
- Credit evaluation experience either in pure credit functions or in different functions especially where complex credits and/or structuring are involved.
- Relevant nonbanking experience is acceptable if it adds to the person's risk assessment capability.
- Front line business experience in lending or related activities could be a plus
- Minimum 12 years' experience of banking experience preferably in China.
