    What you will do

    Marketing Strategy & Planning:

  • Build-up strong market insights practically and strategically through market mapping activities, take the initiatives to outline the key strategies and business targets, and get alignment with management team
  • Deeply understand the regional short-term to long-term commercial strategy, lead the team to develop the Business Unit's go-to-marketing strategy, including value proposition, price positioning, potential channel proposal and promotion strategy
  • Lead the team to develop the Business Unit's annual marketing and project plan. Implement and execute the plan to achieve the business objectives and goals
  • Get alignment and influence the sales team for resource, action plan and business targets
  • Market Intelligence:

  • Lead the team to collect and analyze marketing data, including consumer behavior, market trends, competitive analysis, and campaign performance
  • Lead the team to conduct in-depth market research to identify target market/channel size, trends, preferences and needs
  • As the expert of policies, regulations and market practice for assigned markets or industries, coach the team to feedback and deliver the information to the team timely and proactively
  • Lead to collect the market information with competition status, monitor key competitors' market behavior closely, identify the potential infringements with potential solution of tesa from competitors
  • Take the lead in the evaluation of market research, market positioning, promotions associated with targeted Business Unit, identify marketing opportunities, generate the market intelligence report with business suggestions and solutions regularly.
  • Product Marketing & Communication:

  • Lead the team to cooperate with Product Management team closely to manage the Business Unit's existing product portfolio and lifecycle
  • Lead the team to develop the new business case with market insight analysis, manage the approval process with key stake holders and assign to subordinates reasonably
  • Lead the team to cooperate with Product Management team closely to drive the new product development, monitor the new product development status and process, lead the team to solve the issues from marketing-end during the development process
  • Lead the team to set-up marketing strategy for new product, manage the new product launch and introduction with clear solution packages
  • Lead the team to define, implement and execute the new product marketing communication plan
  • Take the lead to develop and conduct the customer training content for targeted Business Unit, enable target partners and end-users to achieve business growth
  • Coach and lead the team to prepare for the sample stock for assigned assortments.
  • Business Optimization & Development:

  • Lead the team to design, plan and organize training programs proactively and support commercial team to improve business ability
  • Lead the team to develop and execute the sales and marketing tools with internal stakeholders (e.g. successful stories, catalogues, videos, demo tools etc.
  • Lead the team to identify the key opportunities and encourage the team to visit the customers with sales team to identify and develop the new business for new markets
  • Take initiatives to explore the new opportunities, develop and recommend the proper sales channels to the team based on the market insight
  • Identify the potential improvement opportunity and area based on the observation and analysis of market dynamics and competition, take initiatives to develop and manage the optimization program of the marketing and sales process, policy and guidance in marketing approaches
  • Team Leadership and Management:

  • As the team leader to establish, develop and manage the team to achieve the annual goal & objectives
  • Set-up the annual KPIs to the team and engage all of the team members to work for the results to achieve the good performance at the end of the year
  • Develop teams by offering coaching and mentoring, motivate team members to keep passion to the work
  • Cooperate with the key stakeholders to design and set-up the career roadmap of the team/sub-function, implement for the internal talent development
  • \Identify the team talents with clear definition of the advantages and talent gaps, generate and implement the talent development plan
  • Cooperate with the key stakeholders to initiate and develop the succession plan of owned team, identify and cultivate the successors for key positions of the team
  • Lead the team culture evolvement, develop the team culture based on the tesa People Value
  • What you will need

  • Bachelor degree and above, major in Marketing or Chemical related will be a plus
  • Master degree will be preferred
  • Additional Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) will be preferred
  • Min 10 years working experience in marketing relevant, chemical industry working experience will be preferred
  • At least 5 years team management experience
  • Excellent speech and structured presentation skills, capability to communicate, cooperate and influence across departments
  • Strong learning ability and agility, good business acumen
  • Excellent in MS office, good at Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong information collection and data analysis skill
  • Strong problem-solving skills, can lead the team to identify a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity and present clearly, analyze the root reason with good analytical skills and business acumen, and can teach team members to solve the problems
  • Strong willingness to grow and step out of comfortable zone with own initiatives
  • Highly self-motivating, open minded and diligent attitude
  • Solid risk management sense, strong capability to identify the potential risk and lead to eliminate
  • Excellent English communication skill in written and oral, good capability for cross-culture communication
  • Excellent project management skills, PMP certification will be a plus
  • Business travel is needed, should be flexible to travel frequently
