In this role, a typical day will include:
• In charge of Kunshan warehouse operations to ensure the reliable and responsive DC service with acceptable cost while adaptable to business growth, priorities, and new initiatives.
• Lead DC operation team to build up future-fit capabilities for resilience & agility.
• Ensure site security and people safety/wellness to comply with EHS regulations & guidelines.
• Monitor the daily warehouse operations (receiving, labelling, picking, packing, delivery, stock-take, etc.) to ensure the DC service level achieved as per business targets.
• Work with planning team closely to understand sales volume forecast, strategies and priorities for better space and manpower resource planning and prediction.
• Design and update SOPs timely for operation improvement or changes. Ensure the team fully understand & well-trained for SOPs.
• Prepare BCP plans for emergency, uncertainties and risks.
• Manage peak volume challenges and urgency priorities with smart integration & optimization of fixed and temp resource.
• Monitor DC key KPIs including lead-time performance, operating costs, productivity, quality, space utilization etc, by utilizing systems wherever possible. Analyze root cause of failures and drive for continuous improvement plans.
• Periodically assess the best-fit MHE& applications to improve operation efficiency(robots, conveyors, forklift trucks, RF Scanners. RFID facility. Picking carts, pallets, printers, WMS/WCS, etc).Setup and update the maintenance programs.
• Monitor 3PL service providers performance & governance to align with Alcon core values and standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment by reinforcing 5S daily execution.
• Support internal audit. Process optimization and green supply chain initiatives/projects as per need.
• Work closely with quality team, regulatory team to meet company the standard and comply with government regulations.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
Experience
• Rich job experience in warehouse management and 3PL management- At least 5 year's warehouse management experience. The experience in self-run warehouse is preferred.
• Good at SAP system, and good knowledge at WMS , Microsoft office software etc.
• Experience in Healthcare industry and MD&D industry is preferred.
• Can write and read English in daily working environment. The fluent English skill will be plus.
Education
• College degree, preferably with background in supply chain related.
