- Design and draft development projects.
- Work closely with Product Development Engineers to design concepts that meet customers needs and requirements.
- Maintain departmental databases and personal time logs for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Perform advanced CAD functions.
- Provide CAD math data transfers, , FTP sites, customer portals, etc for the company's internal and external customers.
- Manage relevant CAD files in Shape's controlled systems.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and work instructions related to design work.
- Help set direction and drive departmental and corporate meetings as required.
- Develop accurate engineering bill of materials to support assigned projects.
- Establish and maintain relationships with our internal and external customers.
- Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader.
- Work with Shape Team Center to upload and download the engineering data.
- Associates Degree in Drafting or Design Technologies required. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree.
- Minimum of two years prior experience in drafting/design.
- Understanding of manufacturing minimum process requirements.
- Expert in 3D design of products.
- Understanding of vehicle and component packaging..
- Proficient in 3D CAD using CATIA V5 is a must.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
