- Underwriting and claims handling Assess and comment on individual and group insurance facultative cases and claims within turn-around-time and the underwriting authority Backup other underwriters
- Product development Advise product manager on the risk of the product design Communicate with the clients on the product provision and underwriting rules Research on recent product developments trends in the market Assist product manager in product innovation research
- Operation rules Communicate with the clients on operation rules setting, including general rules for different channels, sales promotion rules, agent differentiation rules etc. Advise the clients on the claim assessment practice and POS rules
- External technical sharing and support Pay visits to clients with product managers to maintain relationship and explore potential opportunities Conduct operation audit on request Prepare and give presentations to clients Translate and distribute newsletters to clients Provide trainings on request to enhance the business relationship with clients Host domestic seminars, support and facilitate seminars and workshops abroad
- Ad-hoc projects Provide underwriting technical support to clients Collaborate with clients on experience study Cooperate with other underwriters on internal projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree or above, medical background preferred
- 5+ years' experience in life (re-)insurance underwriting and claims handling
- Professional qualification (CLU, FALU, FLMI) preferred
- Native Mandarin speaker. Proficient in both written & spoken English
- Prior experience in product development or reinsurance business a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a good team player
