- Organizing and delivering History and Geography related lectures to High School students.
- Evaluating a students' class work and assignments.
- Preparing classroom and coursework materials, homework assignments, and handouts.
- Recording and maintaining accurate student attendance records and grades.
- Developing teaching plans and lesson plans in line with syllabus provided.
- Guiding or coaching students on extra-curricular activities
- Communicating with parents when necessary.
- Secondary license or certification (TEFL/CELTA) for teaching English, with a preference for a master' degree in History, Geography, or other social studies related subjects.
- Successful experience teaching in an international setting (experience with high school students and experience with US AP curriculum preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and other teaching staff
- Ability to work in stressful situations and under pressure
- A positive attitude and Good listening/Planning/organizational skills
- Monthly salary of 16,000 to 24,000 RMB before tax commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Monthly housing allowance of 6,000 RMB
