- Support to develop new sales channels to grow the Employee Health & Benefits business;
- Support to determine the overall sales and segmentation strategy and opportunity pursuit plans to maximise sales effectiveness and leverage Mercer's local and global resources;
- Contribute to product development and contract negotiation;
- Identify opportunities and develop them from start to closure, including coordination of Mercer's tender/proposal process;
- Contribute to creating compelling value propositions for the market and where necessary, for a specific client, drawing on all of the internal resources and ensuring the clients' needs are understood and communicated back to the business;
- Ensure that compliance in the use of Mercer's client relationship management system to ensure accurate data for senior management to track and monitor sale performance;
- Be proficient in and a champion of Mercer tools and processes, including MercerForce
- 3 or more years of relevant sales or account management experience with insurance industry
- Good numerical accuracy
- Strong communication skills when liaising with different category of potential clients/internal stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to the communication style dependent on the needs of the audience
- Sales performance focused and a strong sense of personal accountability
- Negotiation and influencing skills both internally and externally
- Ability to work across the business in partnership with internal stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously to achieve set results
