- Work with a distributed team of compiler engineers to improve code generation for key Java applications accelerated by Grace and Grace-Hopper systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders from application performance, CPU architecture and marketing teams to accelerate Java on Grace and Grace-Hopper systems.
- Improve Java performance by innovative compiler optimization techniques in Java Compiler and JVM.
- Participate in complete HW / SW co-design cycle from pre-silicon to launch to customer support.
- Contribute optimizations and features into Open Source projects
- Participate and Drive standards and definitions for Java evolution in Open Source
- Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D. or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of production software development in Compiler or related SW with focus on optimizations, improvements to Java Compiler, JVM.
- Deep expertise in Java compilation stack with experience in implementing Java features, APIs and exploiting architectural features for performance
- Strong software design fundamentals and a deep understanding of compilers and programming languages
- Demonstrated expertise with ARM architecture including SVE2 and Neon.
- Deep knowledge of Processor architecture such as ARM
- Deep knowledge of Java run-time environment
