- Being responding for global category sourcing parts, can provide professional advice to global category manager for strategy making/optimizing, implements effective sourcing strategies in line with global sourcing strategy ensuring that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements
- Being responsible for local category sourcing parts, make sourcing strategy independently, evaluate and develop the supply base. Introduce new suppliers as appropriate to meet the current and future needs of the business
- Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, minimizes risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with company guidelines
- Participating in the contract negotiation of the global suppliers together with the GCM, and leading the contract negotiations of the local suppliers
- Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Providing ongoing oversight and contract management with suppliers
- Ensuring identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost and sustainability) in accordance with Company policies. Providing and maintaining standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines
- Contributing to, and participates in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework. Ensuring the responsible category sourcing performance targets are achieved
- Defining & constant improvement of value chain with focus to shorten lead time and optimize logistic processes, considering total cost
- Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or Commercial or similar degree
- Minimum 6 years sourcing related working experience
- Good knowledge in the machining/mechanical category & industry would be preferred
- Excellent knowledge in sourcing methods; supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, analytical skills and legal/contractual knowledge
- Excellent communication, cooperation and influencing skills when working with different senior level roles internally and externally with different suppliers
- Continuous improvement mindset with a business-driven and fact base on approach towards suppliers with a focus on building long-term relationship
- Ability to handle complexity and work under pressure, travel sometimes at short notice
