- Act in a leadership role to drive a sense of urgency to resolution and effective communication(s) to the business.
- Lead timely resolution of escalated supplier issues by facilitating meetings with appropriate technical/operation personnel. Liaise frequently with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering and Design. Track and manage supplier quality and performance. Maintain Commercial interface with Suppliers. Manage warranty claims, back-charges, and liquidated damages. Understand, and plan for supply chain risk – sole/single sourced materials, unusually long lead times, etc. Participate in new product development process. Consult as a subject matter expert with commodities you purchase – costing/lead time/other concerns. Monitor, communicate, and respond to changing market conditions and business drivers to maximize leverage and minimize risk. Own all import and export activities for raw materials, parts and all other applicable transactions. Coordinate with customs broker or I/E agent on customs clearance and all imports declaration and formalities handling if have Manage to apply for import/export permits if needed. Arrange domestic and international shipments for Rotoflow project and operation related shipments. Seeking, evaluating and managing 3rd party logistics providers, i.e. I/E agents, forwarders, shipping agents, carriers, transportation companies and warehouses. Working with local authorities (Customs, China Inspection & Quarantine, Foreign Economic & Trade Committee etc.) which are related to imports/exports, and maintain good relations with them. Understanding and complying with Chinese related laws and regulations. Maintaining the import/export records and documentation as predetermined practices. Preparing logistics statistics and reports as required.
- Strong experience in issuance and managing execution of requisitions/purchase orders for material, equipment, and services in SAP or other ERP system.
- Familiarity with the turbomachinery/rotating machinery industry, specifically in the aftermarket space for spare parts and repairs.
- Strong project management and planning skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiating skills, both commercial and legal.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with internal and external customers.
- Strong leadership, influencing, communication, and facilitative skills.
- Ability to bring teams together to resolve issues and achieve targets and goals (including cost savings and supplier performance).

- Knowledge of import and export work process and understand government regulations.
- Experience with commodities/services such as machined parts (shrouds, plates, rings, seals, vanes, etc.), lube oil systems, bearings, gearboxes, foils, impellers, tooling, shafts/rotos, actuators (and assembly parts), couplings, instrumentation, castings/patterns, forgings, fabricated parts, Class C items, etc. is strongly desired.

- Education in technical or business field
- Bachelor's Degree or higher, in Engineering or Business Management or equivalent job experience
- 5+ years' experience in Procurement, Technical, Engineering, Commercial or Project environment
- Accreditation from Supply Chain industry organization (i.e. MCIPS / CPSM) preferred
- Knowledge of commercial purchasing procedures and practice, including aspects of negotiation and contract law
- Familiarity with SAP
- Experience in discrete manufacturing, turbomachinery/rotating machinery industry and aftermarket
- Demonstration of significant volumes of orders and order management

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and issue inquiries, purchase orders according to the manufacturing schedule – ERP driven, and requisition driven on long lead items. Lead negotiations with Suppliers to obtain globally competitive price, delivery, and contract terms. Lead and manage supplier qualification audits and efforts. Participate in development of Project Procurement Strategy that is aligned with the business Sales and Operating Plan (S&OP). Maintain ERP data integrity and communicate exceptions which may impact the production schedule. Author Bid Tab evaluations and Sole Source justifications.
