    Position Statement

    The Commercial Director supports all commercial performance efforts in the GCM Franchise Hampton hotel portfolio with a goal of improving market share and RevPAR. This is accomplished through analysis of hotel/portfolio performance, development of revenue management strategy and tactics to improve portfolio performance, communication of Hilton Worldwide Commercial best practices, influencing the Franchise Hampton above-property business partners to set and drive strategy execution, advocacy of Hilton centralized.

    This position recommends and coordinates commercial strategies for all hotels within portfolio and supplies critical analysis on company-wide decisions affecting pricing, occupancy, revenue goals and brand sales strategies. In accordance with the GCM regional franchise strategic priorities, this role must develop strategies that assist in meeting these commercial goals. This role will be responsible for supporting and collaborating with a wide cross-functional team to complete the respective commercial business actions, commercial reviews, and support business initiatives/projects. This will be further achieved by closely following commercial opportunities available and working across the region with other commercial team stakeholders and brand management team partners.

    The establishment of effective working relationships with Senior Commercial Leadership, Brand Management team, IT, Finance, and the Franchise Hampton above-property business partners is also a critical component of this position.

    This role must have strong communication and analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to think strategically to resolve business challenges.

    This position requires an individual who thrives in navigating uncertain situations, demonstrates a strong capacity to manage ambiguity effectively, and possesses the confidence to make informed decisions amidst incomplete information. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, where the individual must frequently evaluate situations critically and use solid judgment to take initiative in complex scenarios.

    What will I be doing?

    Support the commercial business success

    Support the Senior Director, Focused Service to develop powerful business relationships with the Hampton above-property business partners, decision-makers, and influencers, assisting in the designed commercial strategy initiatives and brand strategy. Manage the appropriate commercial targets and objectives for the Franchise Hampton hotel portfolio and navigate how it is to be accomplished.

    · Engage frequently with the Franchise Hampton above-property business partners/representatives to support them to build their own commercial action plans, provide strategic advice and address questions about Hilton's business processes and products, ensuring their teams are making full use of the Hilton's commercial engine.

    · Closely partner with the Franchise Hampton above-property business partners to identify opportunities and determine appropriate courses of action. Collaborate with regional commercial functions to support the execution of strategies that will enhance premium market share.

    · Monitor the performance of the assigned portfolio to identify properties with potential and determine strategic actions that will lead to achieve improved RevPAR, market share, Honors performance, etc.

    · To work with the RMCC support team to ensure the right processes are built and adhered to ensure a smooth hotel transition from pre-opening to post-opening support functions.

    · To ensure implementation of Hilton centralized solutions and commercial tactics within their portfolio while furthering GCM commercial goals.

    Commercial Engine and Brand – Support & Collaboration

    Act as a Commercial Director to liaise with brand team members. Be the most effective means of partnering with Brand Performance Support, IT and other related functions to collaborate and achieve commercial objectives.

    · Closely work with the Brand Management team to support the delivery of business actions that will improve the business performance.

    · Assist in the preparation of materials and documentation designed to support the education of brand teams in support of GCM commercial goals.

    · To facilitate or lead commercial performance discussions with brand team and commercial team members and collaborate to develop and prioritize business support ideas, where necessary.

    · As appropriate, participate in brand and commercial team meetings to keep the department informed of project progress and initiatives that impact portfolio revenues and/or business processes.

    · To work with the IT team to plan the long-range technology development to best fit the commercial needs.

    Support of Commercial Objectives and Department Strategic Priorities

    They must be guided by both commercial objectives and the strategic priorities. Those two, combined with a clear understanding of the Hilton Values, should inform all decisions while providing an overall direction for activities.

    · To review and prioritize activities to achieve the targeted result.

    · Possess strong communication skills and a relentless focus on results to drive portfolio performance.

    · To influence key internal stakeholders including senior leadership teams, franchised management groups in support of commercial objectives.

    · To develop close, positive working relationships with loyalty and marketing team stakeholders to support the commercial outcomes.

    · This role will require the ability to clearly communicate with senior leaders within the organization to provide performance updates and during problem resolution.

    Business Analysis

    The ability to think strategically is a core requirement of this position. They must be able to:

    · Proactively set up commercial performance review/forecast between commercial teams and brand management team, to identify opportunities in process improvement and work on solutions.

    · Effectively use Hilton systems, reports, and tools to monitor, and accurately evaluate the portfolio performance results across all data.

    · Guide and recommend commercial action adoption and strategy to the Franchise Hampton above-property business partners.

    These are the key qualifications, experience, skills, and qualities you will need to carry out this role.

    Required:

    · Previous Director/Senior Manager level experience with proven senior stakeholder management.

    · Management skills i.e., stakeholder management, leadership, organization, communication, networking, collaboration & solid judgment.

    · Significant experience within the hotel industry along with a college degree.

    · Ability to speak and write Mandarin and English fluently.

    · Commercial attitude with experience and functional knowledge of Revenue Management, Marketing, and other commercial functions.

    · Strong organizational skills and an ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.

    · Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools and job-related information technology.

    · Warm personality and high team spirit. Ability to recognize, feel, and share the common organizational purpose.

    · Adapts to change and innovation, self-motivated.
