    We are looking for a Head of Senior School for an international school in Hangzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2024.

    About role

    As the Head of Senior School, you will be reporting to the Executive Principal and the School Executive Committee, and will offer visionary leadership and outstanding management skills. This role involves aiding in faculty recruitment and development, implementing an excellent curriculum, and securing the school's financial future. The individual will be a skilled communicator, focused on fostering both the social and academic progress of all students.

    • Partnering with the Executive Principal and Senior Leadership Team to shape a forward-thinking vision for the school, leveraging its strengths and positioning it as a frontrunner in the evolving educational landscape
    • Providing strong leadership to the senior team, fostering a supportive environment for colleagues to excel in their roles
    • Delivering inspiring academic leadership, ensuring all students, regardless of ability, are encouraged and supported to reach their utmost potential
    • Acting as a persuasive and authentic representative of the school, effectively showcasing its merits to various external groups and forging solid relationships with parents, local government, and educational authorities
    • Serving as a mentor to faculty, promoting their professional development and career progression
    • Overseeing a review cycle in the division to uphold high standards in teaching and learning
    • Participating in the recruitment process, including screening, interviewing, and hiring personnel as required
    • Reviewing student admission applications to ensure appropriate placement in line with the school's policies
    • Committing to the effective implementation of the School Development Plan and achieving division-specific goals
    • Communicating effectively with students, faculty, staff, parents, and the community, employing various communication methods
    • Collaborating with the Head of School Improvement to ensure consistent instructional practices across the board, using data-driven approaches for curriculum adaptation and effective assessment feedback
    • Encouraging faculty and parent involvement in a broad range of school activities
    • Ensuring a safe and clean environment for students, including implementing hygiene standards

    Requirements

    • Valid Certification/License in Teaching and Administration
    • Master's Degree, with a preference for Administration specialization
    • At least 10 years of experience in Teaching and Administration roles
    • A track record of effective leadership, organizational, and management skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency in communication, public relations, and teamwork
    • Dedicated to successfully executing an enhanced international curriculum
    • Strong work ethic with a commitment to the overall development of the school program
