We are looking for a Deputy Head of Senior School for an international school in Hangzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2024.

Job responsibilities

• Uphold and represent the mission and values of the institution, focusing on inclusivity, international perspectives, and academic achievement
• Collaboratively develop and implement the Senior School's vision and development strategy with the leadership team
• Lead the Subject Coordinators in guiding the academic direction of the Senior School
• Perform professional tasks as assigned by the Head of Senior School
• Provide dynamic academic leadership, fostering an environment where students of varying abilities can thrive and achieve their full potential
• Serve as an effective and engaging spokesperson for the school, communicating effectively with diverse external groups and parents
• Work with the Head of School and School Improvement Leader to direct the Professional Learning Community within the Senior School
• Assist in reviewing and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in the Senior School
• Aid in the admission process for new Senior School students
• Commit to the successful execution of the Senior School Development Plan and specific targets
• Encourage faculty and parent participation in a broad range of school activities
• Coordinate with the Examinations Officer for the organization of internal and external exams
• Maintain a safe and clean learning environment, including adherence to hygiene standards

Requirements

• Valid Teacher and Administration Certification/License/Documentation
• Master's Degree, preferably in Administration
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching and administration is preferred
• Proven track record of successful leadership, organizational, and management abilities
• Professional dedication to the effective execution of an enriched international curriculum
