Job Summary
Working as part of a Team in a fast-paced, fun, challenging, and rewarding environment to operate and bring to life theme park attractions based on popular movies by providing exemplary safety, service, show presentation, cleanliness, and efficiency for thousands of visiting guests each day.
Major Responsibilities
Ensures the proper use of safety practices and procedures while operating the attraction in addition to opening and closing procedures.
In a friendly and professional manner, discreetly screens guests for attraction requirements and special access needs.
Loads and unloads guests into ride vehicles, theaters, play areas, or other attraction-type areas safely and efficiently; enforces attraction requirements and restrictions, checks ride restraints and lap bars, provides safety instructions, operates control consoles, dispatches vehicles, and observes CCTV monitors and watches overall guest behavior to ensure the safe operation of the attraction.
Safely evacuates the attraction in accordance to operating procedures.
Welcomes and engages guests by delivering themed narrations or story lines of the assigned area and provides attraction information and assistance. Monitors the queue, making appropriate adjustments and measuring attraction wait times.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment by constantly monitoring the immediate area and/or surroundings. Maintains a neat and organized work area, trash removal, keeps the area free of debris, ensures proper care taken of equipment and/or props used throughout the attraction/area.
Sets up and breaks down queue areas including stanchions, ropes, and barricades based daily park needs.
Monitors crowds, performs crowd control duties, and addresses safety concerns.
Pre-Opening to Public Additional Responsibilities: Supports initial operational testing and commissioning of attractions to prepare for the opening of the attraction(s) and/or area(s) to the public.
Understand and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UBR policy, procedures training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE: Moderately routine. General policies and procedures upheld. Frequent decision making and critical thinking skills applied. Exemplary safety, service, show quality, cleanliness, and efficiency of the operation is delivered consistently. Varying working shifts on a frequent basis including, but not limited to: mornings/afternoons/evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Overnight working shifts during periods of time for pre-opening to public. And outdoor working environment may be also required for all stages.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required. Possession of an energetic, outgoing, friendly, and service-oriented personality who is able to adapt and work well in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment. Must possess good communication skills.
The individual is required to pass local regulatory requirements for certification to operate attractions (including but not limited to the Health Certificate for Beijing Public Health Jobholder), in addition to completing on-job-training and assessment. These training and assessment programs will be provided by the company.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Proficient Mandarin is preferred for this position. Ability to read and comprehend instructions in Chinese such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to comprehend and carryout a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to deal with problems with no obvious variables or non-standard situations. Employ personal empowerment, empathy, and creativity to resolve guest concerns or complaints.
