- Maintains strategic responsibility for process improvement for the site.
- Provides leadership for LPS and coaching for improvement and optimization projects covering Safety, Quality, Delivery, Engagement and Cost (SQDEC).
- Oversee & conduct training in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Facilitates dialogues between leaders of Operational Excellence projects and sponsors.
- Oversees business process management and the teams supporting continuous improvement
- Supports all areas of production operations in identification and problem solving solutions.
- Manage the Operational Excellence team (OE Practitioners).
- Lead LPS Steering Committee to ensure full installation and realization of LPS in PT Shanghai through prioritization and resource management.
- Ensures site has installed and is effectively practicing defined business processes and Lean Production System.
- Drive continuous improvement through PT-leadership behaviors.
(Focus, Empower and take ownership, Go, see firsthand and understand, Continuously improve and Make it happen) - Support Global PT Lean Office for LPS deployment, LPS Health checks, initiate LPS standards, Showcase deployment, etc.
- Lead and Coaching Lean Six Sigma Projects to PTSH and SRPL as needed.
- Leads the development of training strategy at the site training program management and capability building.
- Responsible for training administration and overall training at the site.
- Develop and implement learning and development policy and process.
- Align with global Learning and development team to develop training courses, LPS related training material development and training course delivery.
- Centralize management of site business support activities by leading the cross-functional, site level Business Support Council. Share and align business support activities interdependencies and as a decision making agent.
- Coordinate stakeholders to develop Site Business Plan as part of site strategy. Leads and maintains site strategy realization.
- Lead functions to development, implementation and monitoring of site goals and KPI's through strategy deployment.
- Oversees site Project Portfolio which includes product technical transfers, CAPEX and business projects.
- Provides oversight for the Business Continuity Management and Risk Management at the site.
- Promote site level communication and sharing through network.
- Perform regular succession planning.
- Keep information in workday up to date, regarding what are the critical positions and that job profiles are up to date.
- Align list of succession candidates with line manager.
- Confirm interest of colleagues listed on the succession list.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Black Belt or higher, Black Belt or Master Black Belt or equivalent
- 10 years experience in functional management in leading and directing individuals and groups.
- Of which minimum 5 years of Operational Excellence related professional experience
- Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement programs with quantifiable business results
- Experience working in and influencing decisions in matrix organizations
- Excellent collaborator with cross-functional customers and network partners
- Remain informed and cascade Network and site business developments, opportunities, and challenges
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement
- Monitors organizational performance through key performance indicators
- Demonstrated history of developing others and building/leading high-performing teams
- Advanced facilitation skills and change agent abilities
- Advanced level knowledge of Root Cause Analysis or similar problem solving methodology
- Remains current on industries process improvement methodologies and implements best practices to drive business performance
- Excellent communication skills across a range of boundaries (regional and functional) and in a variety of settings (1-on-1, small groups, presentations)
