- Researches, develops and maintains actuarial models, methods and assumptions;
- Performs detailed US/China Statutory, Tax, and GAAP valuation work for assigned business, ensures these items are appropriately documented and posted, and assists with identifying changing requirements and adapting to maintain compliance;
- Develops projections for financial planning and economic capital and analysis and assists with communication of financial analytics and results in terms of major drivers of variance;
- Supports quarterly and annual filings;
- Supports annual basis change;
- Serves as a liaison with other valuation, pricing, administration, systems, accounting, audit, and finance associates;
- Performs valuation work and ad-hoc department projects as needed and called upon;
- Performs other duties as required;
- Completes elementary exams of SOA or equivalent;
- 1 to 3 years of actuarial work experience;
- ASA of SOA or equivalent;
- Familiarity with LDTI/China GAAP reporting and AXIS/Prophet are highly preferred;
- Judgment in making practically and financially sound decisions;
- Effective organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to perform under pressure;
- Excellent communications skills; fluency in both of Chinese and English are essential;
- Advanced Excel, Word and Visual Basic skills;Basic SQL skills.
