- Develop and implement automation solutions to performance, safety, quality and attainment challenges through delivery of PLC, robotic or SCADA improvement projects.
- Respond to and resolve automation, electrical and instrumentation breakdowns. Assist in problem solving of all breakdowns to ensure fast root cause identification and minimize downtime, working closely with other maintenance staff and the production teams.
- Actively troubleshoot and investigate issues related to automation performance and look for ways to improve.
- Ensure all DCS, PLC and automated systems are in good working order and any changes to software or hardware are recorded properly.
- Ensure automation code and documents are well managed and version controlled.
- Monitors and contributes to agreed KPIs, with clear communication and escalation at early stages of any issues. Through a good understanding of the processes, propose improvement actions for all automation related issues.
- Engineering degree or equivalent, i.e.: automation and robotics
- ABB robot integration to control systems.
- Proven experience working as a Mitsubishi/ Siemens PLCs and WinCC/Wonderware systems engineer.
- Proven experience working in automation and control industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of Visual Basic/C scripts or SQL Server data tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
