    Collaborate with University:

  • Focus on KONE priority technical themes
  • Select proper university teams for future technology study
  • Create and maintain technical specification:

  • Create technical requirement specification for concept project / Research case
  • Create and select proposals of new technical solutions:

  • Generate new ideas and create new solution proposals
  • Select best proposals for selection / decision making
  • Develop the technical solutions for given specs ensuring a) functionality, b) quality and reliability c) cost d) manufacturability e) interfaces to other technologies, f) compliance with applicable technical codes and standards
  • Manage Engineering team for Execution of technical plan

  • Manage team performance
  • Control & steer the design work
  • Select and monitor performance of external resources (from approved list)
  • Write Task assignments
  • Follow-up of task execution & controlling work quality
  • Select sub-contractor
