- This role is responsible for end-to-end quality relationship with allocated supply base.
- This role qualifies suppliers, validates, and releases components and has the responsibility to veto if necessary.
- Responsible for implementing supplier quality functional excellence initiatives.
- Implements supplier quality processes where applicable. Sets supplier quality requirements to suppliers and products.
- Drives early supplier engagement in the NPI process, validates and (dis)approves release of components, assemblies, and processes at suppliers. and owns the PPAP process.
- Reports on performance, supports business reviews at suppliers.
- Responsible for all quality related elements in supplier contracts, thus enabling cost of non-quality recovery.
- Accountable for quick but complete resolution of complaints and (dis)approval closure of complaints.
- Effectively implements all relevant supplier quality processes and tools.
- Is able to effectively manage risks with a differentiated approach
- Can train SQ tools to suppliers.
- Has strong understanding of relevant commodity technology and business domains.
- Is able to determine supplier technical capabilities based on this knowledge and effectively apply knowledge to resolve customer and production issues
