    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager (Chinese-speaking) to be based in Iraq with a background in drilling and measurements with extensive field exposure in the oil and gas sector for one of our clients in Iraq.

    Job Overview: The Business Development Manager (Drilling & Measurements) with Field Exposure in the Oil & Gas Industry will be responsible for driving business growth and fostering strategic partnerships within the sector. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, field experience, and business acumen.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify key trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the oil and gas drilling sector.
    • Develop and implement strategic business plans to penetrate new markets, expand client base, and achieve revenue targets.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their drilling and measurement needs, and providing tailored solutions to enhance their operations.
    • Proactively engage with potential clients to identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership, leveraging field exposure to understand their specific requirements.
    • Lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities within the oil and gas drilling sector, focusing on drilling and measurement services.
    • Collaborate with internal technical teams to develop customized solutions and proposals that address client needs and deliver value.
    • Utilize field exposure to gain firsthand insights into drilling and measurement operations in the oil and gas industry, understanding challenges, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams, leveraging field experience to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.
    • Drive the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, utilizing technical expertise and market insights to maximize value for both parties.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or related field.
    • Chinese speaker will be preferred.
    • Minimum of 7 years of combined experience in business development, technical roles, and field operations within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on drilling and measurements.
    • Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing business opportunities, preferably in drilling and measurement services.
    • Extensive field exposure in oil and gas drilling and measurements, with a deep understanding of equipment, processes, and safety protocols.
    • Strong business acumen with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans.
    • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
