Job Description
As Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of our Asian Hub within the Global Projects organisation. We have the responsibility to design & manufacture Screw feeding systems. Our customers are in China, Korea, Japan and South East Asia.
Mission:
Your mission is to R&D the Screw Feeding system, and localized Screw Feeding system.
You will be responsible for:
• The Mechanical design, (SolidWorks 3D CAD), and documentation of our projects
• R&D the Screw Feeding system, and localized Screw Feeding system.
• Make various calculations such as strength of materials, forces, stresses.
• Designing with the best Ergonomic practices.
• Designing with the best Safety practices.
• Selecting and specifying the correct Atlas Copco fastening tool for the Project.
• Organizing Design Reviews with Project Team.
• Releasing Atlas Copco Mechanical Product and locally procured product on projects
• Working closely with Project Management Dept
• Working closely with Production Control Dept
• Support Installation Team during Start-Up at Customer
This position reports to Team Leader Screw Feeding Engineering ICA.

Experience Requirements
• The successful candidate should have experience in mechanical design.
• Experience in design and manufacturing of special solutions and understanding customers needs
• Experience in Screw feeding system.
Education Requirements
• Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Fluent (spoken & written) in English & Chinese (Mandarin)
Knowledge
• Knowledge of Screw feeding system are a plus
• Understanding and interest in customer applications
• Analytical problem solving skills
• Ability to question the way we do things in order to find a better way.
• Proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD software
Personality Requirements
• Team player, good interaction skills
• High level of drive and an open-minded personality
• Sense of urgency
