My Nephew Decided He Was Going to Dropout of School & Become A Rapper: (Career Rap or Basketball)?

I have wonderful news!!!!

My nephew decided he was going to dropout of school and become a rapper, but not just any rapper a rapper rapper. 

He is going to be the next 69 and he does not need a high school education and certainly not a college education. 

Though my nephews first rap video is cute and he does have talent, I have to use this as a teaching moment for the black community because black kids only seem to aspire to be rappers or basketball players and it is unrealistic and one of the reasons the black community is struggling. 

Rap music is a wonderful part of our culture, but it can also be deferential to the black community.

We as family members, parents, and educators got to do a better job putting more realistic career options in our black youths heads about career and life. 

Seriously, with black kids they seem to only think about rap and basketball and that stereotype needs to change because this fake thug life just leads our kids to selling drugs in the streets, dead or behind bars!

Mi sobrino decidió que iba a abandonar la escuela y convertirse en rapero, pero no un rapero cualquiera, sino un rapero. Él será el próximo 69 y no necesita una educación secundaria y ciertamente no una educación universitaria. Aunque el primer video de rap de mi sobrino es lindo y él tiene talento, tengo que usar esto como un momento de enseñanza para la comunidad negra porque los niños negros solo parecen aspirar a ser raperos o jugadores de baloncesto y no es realista y es una de las razones por las que la comunidad negra está luchando. Nosotros, como miembros de la familia, padres y educadores, tenemos que hacer un mejor trabajo poniendo opciones profesionales más realistas en las cabezas de nuestros jóvenes negros sobre la carrera y la vida. En serio, con los niños negros parece que solo piensan en el rap y el baloncesto y ese estereotipo debe cambiar porque esta vida falsa de matón lleva a nuestros niños a vender drogas en las calles, ¡muertos o tras las rejas! ¡De todos modos apoya la música de mi sobrino porque es un poco talentoso!
