Faith Is Confidence by Lyon Amor Brave

FAITH is  the ultimate form of confidence. Life can feel uncertain with all its ups and downs, but a truly confident person knows something’s about life. They don’t know everything, but they at least know who they are and what they are about and that things are going to workout even if they hit some bumps in the road. They at least know their capabilities and wishes. They know who they love and what they dislike and they know they can reach the top of the mountain if they start to climb it.

People will say it’s impossible for you to achieve your dreams. If you think you don’t have the ability to get what you want out of life, why would you even try to get what you want out of life. Not believing your goals are possible is a thought of limitation, which is a thought of doubt.   We can get nothing accomplished if we don’t first have faith in ourselves. We can get nothing accomplished while doubt is in our mind. There are going to be too many people telling you that something is impossible that there is simply no way to achieve it if you do not have an inner knowing that you can achieve it. Faith is not doubt. Faith is reassurance. It's a passive knowing. You do not have to know everything about your journey, but you do have to know that you can reach your destination for the journey to be a successful one.

Let me drop some biblical wisdom on you; when you ask for your dreams to come true you must believe and not have doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave to the sea, tossed and blown by the winds.  This verse comes from James 1:6 and it basically means, not even god can help you if you don’t have faith. You can’t go around doubting your life purpose. It’s a waste of time not to have faith. It leads to confusion and misdirection.

The only way not to be confused in your life is to listen to your heart, over what people say. People are strangers. People don‘t know your heart. Learn to trust yourself. This can be hard when people call you names, but people are haters’ man. If you can understand one thing about life, understand people will hate and they will hate on you, but don’t let them win and take away your faith in yourself.

Faith is about confidence. If all you have ever wanted to do is sing, sing your heart out. Nobody thought Bob Dylan could sing either, and he led an extremely successful music career. When people say you can’t do something, prove them wrong. When you have a record deal and a Grammy, who cares if your 5th cousin, still talks poorly about your goals.

The universe wants you to achieve your dreams. All people dream of different dreams. I strongly dislike the expression ‘pipe’ dreams, because it adds a taboo to ambitions. To call something a ‘pipe dream, is to say it’s childish and unrealistic. To call something a ‘pipe dream,’ is to mock it. We all have our own dreams. We don’t dream of the same things. There your dreams for a reason, so live them and don‘t let them die because of others doubting your ability to achieve them. Trust that your heart’s desire is the universes way of calling you to your dreams.

Walk by faith and not by sight is a beautiful expression, but it can be a hard concept to truly grasp. Having faith isn’t always easy. We are asked to believe in the unknown. A good example of this is Moses and Aaron trying to lead the Israelites to the promise land. God delivered them from slavery in Egypt, and performed miracles in front of their eyes, yet the Israelites had little faith. Instead of having faith that their needs would be met along the way, they complained. Because of their lack of faith, after all those years in the desert, they never made it to the Promise Land. It wasn’t because the Promise Land didn’t exist; it was because they had little faith. “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you shall receive it and it shall be yours.”- Mark 11:24.
