7 WAYS TO KEEP THE FAITH by Lyon Amor Brave

Many people who face the darker side of life simply continue to sit in it, instead of going to find greener pastures because they are afraid, but what could be scarier than a life of misery. Everyone who is miserable should have the courage to leap into the unknown because they will most likely find better. The problem is most people are afraid they won’t. They are afraid they will be killed before they find peace on Earth. 

Every aspect of life is directly rooted in faith. 

Faith that we will make it to work on time, faith that our children our safe when we are away from them, faith that we will have food and a roof over our head, faith that we will live to see another day, faith that we will find love, faith that money will come in.

Above all else people need to have faith that good still exists in this world, even when it seems the world is wicked and corrupted by big governments. There are beautiful people in this world, even if you grew up with monsters and have been deprived of love and appreciation. The way to get to the beauty, richness and love in the world is to trust these things are out there for you in abundance, even if you have been denied access to them time and time again. All of us need to trust that good is a real force that wins against evil every-time. I am asking you to trust the universe is on your side and I know that’s very hard to do in this life. I know life hasn’t been fair, but give it a chance to become glorious. 

I promise you, those of you who are hurt and screaming inside, the world wants better for you then poverty, or beatings or cruel injustices, but you have to change your mind before you can change your circumstances. You have to stop being your own worse enemy, when you have plenty of enemies to take on. If you decide the world is cruel it can only be cruel to you. The world is a great place. It’s people who are cruel to themselves and others. 

The first step to a faith filled life is to be good to yourself. If all you have ever known are liars and abusers, of course your perception of people is they all lie and cheat, but you cannot view the world through your experiences alone and you cannot expect good from the universe if you don't even treat yourself good.

There are over seven billion people on earth, humans with better circumstance, humans with worse situations, and it’s time to listen to these other humans to gain perspective over your own conditions. Talk to humans who have faith and see the good in others. It is wiser to view the world through the eyes of someone who has never been hurt, if you are trying to heal. 

William Purkey said, “Dance like no one is watching, Love like you'll never be hurt, Sing like no one is listening, live like it's heaven on earth.”

7 WAYS TO KEEP THE FAITH

1.)  Don’t listen to a naysayer:

Every single person is going to face a naysayer who wants them to play it small and be a lesser version of themselves, but a naysayer is a minuscule and external factor we should never give our power to. A naysayer is a hater.

2.) Don’t doubt yourself:  

It is so irrational to have doubt. Having doubt works against you. If you doubt yourself you will sabotage yourself.  It’s the reason we are our own worst enemies.

3.) Be Accountable: 

Nobody is trying to stop us from getting what we want out of life. Nobody is standing in your way. The only one stopping you from achieving your personal goals and ambitions is you. You stand in your own way.

4.) Safe guard your heart: 

Your heart is where your love, values, passions, and dreams reside. People will try to corrupt your heart. People will tell you your dreams are stupid and believing in god is stupid. I have even heard a number of people say going to college is stupid. If you really care about something, don’t let anyone take it away from you.

5.) Know your faith will be tested:

How bad do you want it is a serious question life throws at you. If you don’t want it bad enough to sacrifice everything to achieve it, you probably won’t get it and the universe isn’t going to just take your word for it. The universe is going to throw some curve balls at you.

6.) True faith endures: 

Faith is not easily discouraged. Faith is not fickle. Faith is unshakable. You have to know something, even if it’s only that you will eventually get there and it might take years to get there. Look at military families, they have to have faith that they are coming home. Not everyone makes it to their destinations. One thing is for sure, if you don’t truly believe you will make it to your personal Promise Land, your chances of getting there go way down.

7.) Use positive affirmations: 

Affirmations are things we say to ourselves over and over again to build our personal power, and keep our mind right. Look in the mirror every day and say something that motivates you, like I will achieve my dreams. Make mini speeches and practice it, until it’s like breathing. I am a beautiful, powerful creature, is what I tell myself.
