- Create a framework/conditions and facilitate them to employees and teams in order to realize the targets as agreed
- Formulate, implement, and monitor the operational plan
- Monitor, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and the efficiency to ensure that the identified operational Key Result Indicators are realized
- Initiate corrective and preventive measures if necessary
- Submit improvement plans for approval by the management and supervise their implementation
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on the reduction of costs, the improvement of the productivity, the product quality and the delivery performance, applying uniform methods and corporate standards
- Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly working environment for the employees of the Supply Chain Planning department
- Ensure proper alignment with the other members of the operational team (amongst others the production, assembly and warehouse managers)
- Allocate means within the Supply Chain Planning department given the best possible implementation of the process, bearing in mind the availability of: employees, materials, skills, budget, requirements for quality and delivery date
- Ensure low sick leave, responsible for the supervision of employees during their reintegration
- Manage, coach, develop and motivate the employees and the teams
- Supervise pupils for instance by staying in contact with the schools, etc.
- Promote the chosen direction on the contents and the way of daily management: include employees and teams in the why and be an ambassador of the vision
- Achieve focus, formulate realistic targets, manage expectations and implement consequences
- Provide input for the Manager Supply Chain and then implement operational initiatives that follow from the company's medium-term strategy
- Ensure that agreements are met
- Set a good example, ensure that rules, values, norms are observed and be a role model
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities and give instructions, taking into account the priorities and the capacities of the employees

- Carry out the Human Resource aspect within the field of responsibility, which means the selection of employees

- Work and think at a higher vocational level of engineering, for instance Mechanical engineering or technical business administration
- Experience with ERP systems, SAP is an advantage
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a management position
- Knowledge of and affinity with Supply chain processes
- Affinity with technical processing processes and planning processes
- Good in English
- Experience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage

This brand-new role is responsible for achieving the targets in operational supply chain management and resulting in the best availability against minimum costs. The Manager Planning is responsible for the short term planning of the internal planning of production, assembly and warehouse and the external planning of our suppliers. The Manager Planning works closely together with other departments, such as production, assembly, warehouse, and the structural group.
