- Is accountable for the implementation of the enterprise-wide AI, Advanced Analytics and Autonomy strategy in the APAC region that aligns with the business goals and objective, in light of the overall Covestro Strategy
- Identify opportunities, potentials, and focus areas to leverage AI, Advanced Analytics, and Autonomy technologies across various functions within the APAC region.
- Ensure collaboration between cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI, Advanced Analytics and Autonomy solutions that drive innovation and improve operational efficiency
- Provide guidance on global governance procedures on AI, Advanced Analytics and Autonomy in the APAC region
- Establish partnerships with external vendors, research institutions and associations in the APAC region to enhance Covestro's perception as a leader in leveraging AI, Advanced Analytics and Autonomy
- Ensure data privacy and security are maintained while implementing AI, Advanced Analytics and Autonomy systems /landscape in the APAC region
- Provide leadership to teams of teams of AI, Advanced Analytics and Autonomy professionals and provide mentorship and guidance as needed.
- You hold a university degree (pref. Master or PhD) in mathematics, computer science, AI or a related discipline
- You have relevant work experience of 8-10 years
- You have demonstrated experience in leadership roles in an international environment and global / international teams
- Experience in developing and curating use case portfolios in earlier roles and have proven capable of both introducing and scaling ML/AI technologies in established companies
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and you are happy to work on a variety of different business problems
- Exceptional program management skills required
- You are an open-minded personality and an approachable Team Player (m/f/d)
- The ability to convince, explain and present to colleagues from different fields and different managerial levels up to CxO level is among your key competencies
- Fluent English skills, written and spoken, as well as willingness and ability to travel internationally, round up your profile
