    Summary:

The Laboratory Analyst position is designed to manage and coordinate laboratory administration, including purchasing, maintenance and calibration of all laboratory equipment and all material and ingredients supply to ensure the present and future operational needs. We're looking for a candidate with a passion for innovation and attention to detail.

    What You'll Do for Us

  • To ensure sampling, examining, and testing all merchandises, ingredients, and finished products for compliance with quality standards and ensure that their retention samples are stored properly after their release.
  • Establish the testing capability and develop the testing methods for all new ingredients and finished products to ensure new product launching in a defined timeframe.
  • Perform routine microbial related analysis using advanced analytical techniques, including water system and clean environment monitoring, preparation of culture media, buffer solution and microbial strain for testing, assist OOS/Non-compliance investigation, familiar with the sterility test/microbiology limit test.
  • Timely performs microbiological testing according to work instruction on water, raw materials, finished products, and the factory environment to ensure compliance to regulatory and company standards, has the authority and responsibility to timely quarantine and label materials or product that fails microbiological specifications in order to ensure that non-conforming materials or products are not used or released.
  • Ensure that all documentations are fully completed -maintains laboratory logs and records to ensure traceability.
  • Ensure continued professional development of maintain current knowledge on microbiological requirement and conduct calibration and validation for all existing and new lab equipment in a defined frequency to ensure it generates the accurate and precise testing result consistently.
  • Responsible for training staff about microbial issues and GLP, 5S, SOPs, etc. Conduct review of scientific, governmental, or other literature to maintain and improve laboratory knowledge/skill and identify appropriate analytical techniques for projects/studies.
  • Perform data audits to ensure accuracy of data and analytical processes which may include testing record and calibration record, statistical process control, correlation studies, notebook review, and/or traceability exercises.
  • Design and implements procedures and guidelines for GLP's and analytical methods to assure accuracy of results and the maintenance of operational status of equipment.
  • Develop and deploy laboratory-operating protocols, including calibration and validation protocols.
  • Create and maintain a network of external labs to support R&D analytical requirements and develop the future vision of the lab to bring the future capabilities needs into the present.
  • Develop a networking with analytical and application laboratories within The Coca-Cola system to share good practices and improve our processes and capabilities.
  • Manage and coordinate all the activities to maintain the stock of the ingredients and materials needed to produce prototypes and assure the shelf life of ingredients meeting quality requirements, including storage conditions, inventory rotation and allergens control.
  • Coordinate the provision of training resources for laboratory methodologies and GLPs.
  • Become the SME on analytical aspects to support trouble shooting issues, advice on analytical methods and support on the development of new categories including all the analytical methods required for nutrition category.
  • Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree on chemistry, biochemistry, or related field with broad experience in chemical analytical tests.
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience and a core training in a relevant food science or engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, and disposal methods.
  • Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation to include the range, use, repair, calibration, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of quality control, costs, requirements and the environmental impact of chemicals and supplies used in the laboratory.
  • Ability to monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to anticipate laboratory needs to ensure good quality control measures are met.
  • Knowledge of the MS Office Suite and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
  • Advanced Food Quality Assurance and Quality system knowledge
  • Proven Multifunctional Teamwork
  • Proficient on communication skills, both written and verbally in English.
