    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supplier development, management and of supplier performance continuous improvement.
  • Promptly respond and audit the supplier at their facility or Nordson's facility to address issues as required.
  • Negotiate purchasing agreements such as terms, conditions, logistics and pricing with suppliers as required.
  • Project Management – take the lead to coordinate and manage colleague member to make project plan, sourcing materials, follow up the schedule, ensure projects are on right track, complete projects on time with proper cost.
  • Ensure materials availability, communicate the technical issue, logistic issue, supplier concerns cross factory, supplier and ensure problems solved in time before mass production.
  • Drive cost saving and productivity improvement by localization, negotiation, resourcing and supply base optimization, managing overlap plan.
  • Support the requirements from Suzhou factory, line of business such as improving Days Sales of Inventory, lead time reduction, lean activity, cost saving, product phase out etc.
  • Follow all work processes, rules and expected behaviors as Nordson employees.
  • Participate and take on additional assignments and projects as required.
  • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree or above, major in mechanical or mechanical background.
  • 3-5 years working experience; sourcing, purchasing experiences within a multinational company is a plus.
  • Skills and Abilities

  • Strong ability of drawing & specification reading; cost analysis; negotiation; project management.
  • Have multi-commodity sourcing capability, especially for sheet metal, machining, mechanical. Knowledge of PCBA, Cable assembly is a plus.
  • Small volume and high mix products experience.
  • Familiar with Sourcing process including - supplier development, localization, cost down, supplier phase out, and purchase order and delivery management.
  • Strong ability of cost analysis, price negotiation and project management.
  • Be good at using MS-office software (excel, word, PPT, etc.).
  • English communication ability both in writing and speaking.
  • Strong communication skill with internal and external teams.
  • Teamwork spirit, responsible, quick learner and under pressure skills.
  • Travel Required
