- Develop and establish a maintenance strategy to best utilize current capacity
- Strive for best suited means of predictive and preventive maintenance
- Establish a technical standard and co-ordinate on site to minimize cost (current assets)
- Spare parts management concept (supplier, consignment stock, Kemira stock)
- Support the development of the Kemira Nanjing Site Master Plan
- Maintain production facilities at an adequate level to ensure desired availability at lowest cost

- Monitors, controls and reports on maintenance efficiency levels. Analyze units with highest maintenance spent (bad actors) and improves/optimize equipment
- Executes reliability analysis and root cause analysis
- To identify, report and initiate action to prevent non-conformance or problems to product, process and Quality System and verify the implementation of solutions
- Executes spare parts analysis and manages availability
- Selects and recommends for employment or advancement of suitable subordinates in co-operation with Human Resources
- Evaluates and documents the performance of subordinates
- Provides support, coaching, training and development for subordinates
- Proposes training and schooling of subordinates. Arranges that employees are adequately trained and well-motivated
