We are in search of an experienced, dedicated, and passionate Housemaster and Housemistress (Hms) to join Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing in August 2024. Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing, part of the network of Wycombe Abbey Schools, opened its doors in September 2021, offering boarding options from Year 2 (Grade 1) up to Year 13 (Grade 12). The ideal candidates will collaborate closely with the Assistant Head Pastoral to craft boarding houses that embody a British boarding style. The boarding scheme includes flexi and weekly boarding for Lower School students, progressing to full boarding for Upper School students. We envisage most students from Year 5 onwards to be boarders, hence a strong commitment to a full boarding setup is crucial. As the Housemaster and Housemistress, you will oversee the academic and pastoral well-being of the students in your houses, acting as the primary link between home and school. This role is a unique chance to become a Founding Hm, allowing you to shape the foundation of the boarding house. You will play a key role in setting standards within your House, while also establishing the necessary procedures, systems, and policies crucial for the smooth functioning of a successful boarding school. We welcome fully qualified teachers with the requisite experience to construct and enhance a new boarding house, individuals brimming with enthusiasm, energy, and a genuine dedication to boarding.
