Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Guangdong Verbund site project would be BASF's largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completion and would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF.

The site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide, and will be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the latest digital technologies and applying the highest safety standards.

• Sample import and export operation:
• Managing sample import / export / customs operations.
• Creating & following up on all relevant shipping documents.
• Checking trade control result in FTCC (Foreign Trade Compliance Cockpit) to ensure that trade control relevant regulations are operationally considered.
• Certificate application and customs inspection arrangement in time.
• Archiving shipping documents according to the requirements.
• Response to customs inquiry timely and providing information according to requirement.
• Proactive feedback to requestors on status of open request as well as providing shipment details (include delay/change).
• Verifying freight cost according to contract and ensuring logistics freight of the team are settled in a timely and compliant way
• Advise on functional requirements during service tender process.
• LSP management:
• Logistics Service Provider (LSP) performance (KPI) management of the team, incl. nonconformity handling and analyzing.
• Identify and analyze drawbacks / risks based on daily operation experience and KPI reports, and report to the leader.
• Optimize & customize services of sample operation.
• Take corrective and preventative actions as agreed upon with logistics management.
• Quality management
• Participating internal and external audit and taking necessary actions to keep company AEO certificate.
• Being aware of changes of sample management related regulations and ensuring timely reflection to working procedure and instructions.
• Managing group coworkers' performance to ensure performance on the right track.
• Ensuring sample management is fully adhered to government regulations, ISO procedures / processes / working instructions.
• Continuous improvement:
• Arranging working instruction training for newcomers and guiding new team member in daily operation.
• Handling sample operational problems/difficulties to improve team's performance.
• Develop sample operation related process and being actively engaged in project.
• Prepare reports related to sample operations.
• Share and implement best practices and processes with other teams.

• Bachelor degree or above in international trade, logistics, supply chain or related discipline
• About 5 years working experience in logistics or supply chain; Leader position experience preferred; Working experience in chemical industry preferred
• A clear knowledge of sample import and export operations
