About the Role
• As Agriculture Solutions Product Manager, execute the corresponding solutions strategy in the targeted ecosystems of agriculture and rural market in China
• Develop and build the data and technology driven solutions, so as to meet the needs of primary insurance companies in the agriculture segments
• Manage the solutions products to make sure of its quality and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with the agriculture Solutions and Underwriter cross-function teams, to successfully build and deliver the solution products and services to clients in China
• Manage alternative partnerships that are essential to the agriculture solutions products, including but not limited to technology and data companies, research institutes, digital distribution channels, service providers, etc.
• Support the solutions sales and originations team, to identify client needs, promote solutions products, and originate business opportunities
About the Team
• Continuing growth in China P&C insurance marketplace offers opportunities, such as agriculture and rural market related areas. Increasing market needs and strong government support are boosting the growth, for both conventional and emerging risks in the agriculture ecosystems, and the technology advancement in the risk management and data science plays an essential role for the insurance industry to capture such growth opportunities.
• Swiss Re China P&C Solutions team, as part of the Global Solutions Division, aims to develop innovative data and technology driven solutions that can address the critical pain points of our clients in China, such as insurance product design for specific distribution channels, risk assessment and management services, risk modelling, etc., by leveraging our global and local resources on the risk knowledge, data, technology, ecosystem partnership, etc.
• As Agriculture Solutions Product Manager, you will develop and deliver Swiss Re's agriculture solutions products in China, and perform a diverse set of responsibilities, in order to strongly position Swiss Re as a leader in the agriculture risk ecosystems. This is a unique opportunity to drive innovation and technological developments, so as to be part of the re/insurance digital transformation.
About You
Professional Experience
• Minimum Master's degree with minimum 2 (F-band) or 5 (E-band) years' working and project experience in agricultural (re)insurance, and/or proven relevant experience in the agricultural industry, with market knowledge in China (re)insurance market and agriculture industry. Fresh graduates (F-band) with outstanding skillset can also be considered.
• Understanding in insurance pricing, agriculture insurance pricing and modeling, Nat Cat modelling
•Good track record of working with agriculture, natural disaster related data processing and hands-on knowledge in parametric product design
• Strong coding skills in one of the following languages: R, Matlab, Python
• Expertise in geo spatial data statistics with focus on agricultural data and remote sensing data processing
• Good background knowledge in agronomy and agricultural sciences is a plus
