Job Summary

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, recovery, and troubleshooting of ride & show attraction systems (i.e., ride track, ride vehicles, animation, and special effects).

Major Responsibilities

Ensures the safety of all team members and guests by understanding and complying with UBR requirements and actively participating in Environmental, Health, & Safety responsibilities by following established UBR policies, procedures, and training.

Performs preventive and predictive maintenance as prescribed by OEM and UBR Engineering Specifications. This would include changing time-limited parts, calibrating equipment per OEM specifications, cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining equipment.

Completes inspections and creates necessary work orders for all discrepancies found. Documents all findings and work performed in Maximo along with labor used. Follows correct chain of command to notify appropriate management when necessary.

Responds to and assists in recovery and repair of attractions and show effects as needed.

Performs repairs to equipment due to safety, reliability, or show quality issues found during PM's, inspections, or downtimes to improve ride reliability and show quality.

Troubleshoots down to failed component using schematics, engineering prints, Operations & Maintenance documentation, and specialized tools & equipment.

Performs modifications per UBR Engineering or OEM specifications.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

3-7 Years: Experience in troubleshooting and repair of complex electro-mechanical systems, as well as hydraulic and mechanical systems either in the theme park industry or other industrial businesses.

3-7 Years: Proficient in electrical theory and components. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics for AC & DC circuits and engineering drawings.

3-7 Years: Experience performing electrical inspections, preventive maintenance, and utilizing Maximo or computerized maintenance management systems.

Proficient using the following tools and equipment: Multi-meters, mega-meter, LANMeter, oscilloscopes & chart recorders, soldering and crimping tools, and general hand tools for electrical work. Understand RS Logix5000 or TIA Portal or Step 7 PLC software.

Knowledge and experience in the following areas: AC & DC motors and drives, Low/High voltage, and signal (I/O) wiring, & Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

Holding Theme Park or relevant special equipment certificate is a plus.

Robot maintenance experience is preferred.

Be able to adapt to long night shift.

Education

Technical School, Junior College, or Above.
