Job Summary

Professor Xufeng Kou's research group is seeking a research associate in the areas of semiconductor/spintronics physics and device.

The successful candidate will work independently on novel projects including:
(1)

MBE growth of novel semiconductor materials; (2) Exploration of emerging physics on electron/spin/magnetism; (3) Design of low-power, high-speed, non-volatile devices.

In addition, building and maintaining laboratory facilities and infrastructure is an important part of the job.
The position is available immediately for one year, with extension as an option based on productivity and funding.

The position will report to Dr Xufeng Kou.
Specific ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities include independent research, collaboration with other group members, and supervision of junior students.
RequirementsA PhD in electrical engineering, physics, or materials science.

Hands-on, in-depth experience with semiconductor physics, device fabrication and device characterization is required. We are especially seeking candidates with rich experience of MBE growth and/or low-temperature /high-field measurement.

Experience and knowledge of III-V high-speed device and spintronic (e.g spin-orbit coupling, spin Hall effect, STT-RAM) will be a huge plus.

Hands-on experience with integrated circuit is also highly desirable.
