    As the Head for Markets Operations China, you will be responsible for-

  • Senior leadership role in managing China Market Operations in confirmations, settlements, operational controls and regulatory reporting;
  • Maintain relationship, governance and oversight of China Markets Operations operating offshore in Hub centres on a day-to-day basis by using metric-based approach to determine performance and control relating to accuracy, timely resolution, escalation, and client responses;
  • Senior stakeholder management of China Markets Head and Markets business on trading, sales, product, and operational matters, including the support of Country COO for China.
  • Management of operational effectiveness by providing support to the Leadership Team and to establish and deliver strategic business objectives to support the Business Units
  • Ensuring a high level service to Counterparty Banks and Customers, including internal/external customers, provide efficient processing of Markets deals within Bank policy/procedures and local regulations
  • Managing various activities, changes and projects related to Markets Operations to ensure excellent customer service satisfaction, processing efficiency and effective control of operational risks
  • Overseeing daily operations activities performed in the name of China but offshored in Hub service centre as a governance role

    What will you bring?

    ​To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following -

  • Significant Management Role experience in Financial Markets Operations
  • Expert knowledge on Markets products and current market practice
  • Expert knowledge of Financial Markets business policies, procedures, industry best practices and documentation and Regulatory Compliance
  • Strong change management capability and self-motivated in deliveries
  • Tertiary qualifications business/finance/commerce discipline is preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of the need to mitigate business operational risks in line with established risk management and compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a high volume customer service and complex operational area
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating skills
