We are looking for a Bilingual University Guidance Counsellor for an International School in Xiamen. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2024.

Job responsibilities

• Assist students in making realistic and informed college choices
• Enhance the school's reputation in higher education
• Educate students and parents about universities, majors, admissions, and testing
• Provide personalized counseling for students
• Maintain accurate student records and write school recommendations
• Contribute to careers counseling and coordinate events
• Support students with online applications and preparation
• Assist with clearing and final admissions processes
• Participate in student and parent activities
• Maintain records of admissions decisions and data
• Collaborate with other counselors to improve practices
• Contribute to school and co-curricular activities
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
• Teaching certificate
• Two or more years teaching experience in the subject
• Excellent communications skills
• Fluent in Chinese and English
