- Ensure relevant HSE Legal requirements are interpreted, communicated, documented, and met at the location both for Supply Chain and Service activities.
- Assist departmental managers in implementing HSE procedures for a safer work environment and make sure the procedures are compliant with local rules and regulations.
- Serve as a consultant to local management on HSE issues; Identifies and suggest corrective measures to improve the locations incident experience and to suggest/implement means to achieve site HSE goals
- Coordinate Safety programs in order to reduce occupational injuries, illness and financial loss.
- Ensure a minimum standard of HSE training is provided and conducted at the location.
- Ensures all personnel at the location have access to HSE material in a language they understand
- Plan and secure that site personnel get required training on Global HSE programs, including, but not limited to HSE policies, guidelines, practices, fire prevention, personal protective equipment, regulations and standards, incident investigation.
- Ensure that mandatory HSE reporting on the progress towards HSE goals, on site Safety activities, and any agency/regulatory inspections/violations is completed for the location
- Interact with HSE regulators/agencies during site inspections; provide guidance to satellite sites on HSE regulatory inspections
- Supports the HSE manager in compiling accident reports required by regulatory agencies
- Inspects facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards (risk assessment), determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented
- Conduct HSE inspections, risk assessment at customer sites for Service activities
- Performs incident registration within reporting Marel software
- Acts as head of emergency response team
- Perform other HSE duties as assigned
- Knowledge of and expertise in applying HSE legislative framework within a site environment
- Excellent skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning, communicating and organizing
- Capacity to clarify needs of others and work with them to develop and implement cost effective and practical solutions
- Effective communication skills - both verbal and written and ability to engage with stakeholders
- A positive and pragmatic attitude to problem solving within HSE
- Minimum 5 experience in HSE
- Experience in Field Service would be an advantage
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Recognized HSE qualifications, accepted by the Global HSE
- Demonstrable HSE experience and proven track record is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at Senior and operational levels internally to the organization
- Knowledge of the business, specific risks and industry approaches advantageous
