Job summary
Design and develop the structural components and systems of automotive seating including seat frames backrest structures headrests and mounting brackets Ensure compliance with safety standards regulatory requirements and customer specifications Collaborate with industrial designers mechanical engineers and material experts to optimize the structural design for performance weight reduction and cost-effectiveness Select appropriate materials for seating structures based on performance requirements weight considerations and manufacturing constraints Conduct material testing analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards safety regulations Develop test plans perform validation testing to evaluate the performance durability safety of seating structures Analyze test data identify issues areas for improvement propose design modifications Collaborate with testing laboratories internal teams conduct physical virtual tests such as static dynamic load testing vibration testing crash simulations Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards GB FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) ECE (Economic Commission for Europe) regulations Manage project timelines budgets resources ensure timely delivery projects Communicate effectively internal teams suppliers customers address technical queries ensure project success The minimum requirements we seek B.S in Mechanical Engineering or related field 5+ years experience designing developing releasing one Seat structure components Experience using 3D CAD software collaboratively Catia V5/V6 3DX etc Experience production release process Factory setting launching new product Master s Degree in Engineering Excellent understanding GD&T standards High level expertise proficiency Catia Enovia similar tools drawing modelling practices methodologies Hands-on experience building launching automotive products Experience Microsoft Office applications information management tools Strong written verbal communication skills Degree Mechanical Engineering Certificate Accomplishment recognized Design educational institution equivalent skills expertise Confluence Jira Asana project management tools Eagerness work cross-functionally dynamic environment high performing team System approach design development desire curiosity strive exceptional delivery execution continuous improvement
