Job Summary
As a Medical Representative you will have as primary goal to promote Lilly's products by providing scientific information to healthcare professionals who can then use this information to help improve patient outcomes. You should be able to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and the community in order to successfully market our products. This role also requires high level planning skills as well as the ability to effectively implement tactics and strategies developed for each product.
Responsibilities
- Develop a good understanding of the disease state, pathophysiology and treatment options available for patients including the advantages and disadvantages of these treatment options.
- Actively engage with Key Opinion Leaders within your therapeutic area(s) of responsibility to stay abreast of any developments or changes in clinical practice and prescribing habits.
- Plan and execute promotional activities which may include organizing symposia/seminars, developing educational materials such as posters, leaflets etc., sponsorship of local events, provision of samples, direct mailshots and email campaigns.
- Monitor competitor activity and report on a regular basis.
- Work closely with Sales Representatives to ensure that all sales are achieved in compliance with the relevant codes of conduct.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date medical and scientific information relating to Lilly's products and disease states to internal and external customers.
- Identify and generate quality leads through effective marketing of products, communications and presentations.
- Maintain an accurate record of customer interactions using a CRM system and other tools.
- Develop strategies to maximise opportunities with key opinion leaders, formulary committees and decision makers in secondary care as appropriate.
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans and new product launches.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, guidance and codes of conduct relating to medicines, medical devices and medical advertising.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Science, Pharmacy or equivalent
- Experience in selling pharmaceuticals into the NHS preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of diabetes, endocrinology and/or psychiatry would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Highly motivated and self-driven
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills。
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Full driving license
