    The Economist Intelligence Unit - Healthcare, offers healthcare-focused market and business intelligence services complimented by strategic advisory to help medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare service firms understand their current and potential markets, and implement pragmatic and innovative strategies to ultimately tap into new growth opportunities.

    The Shanghai office is currently seeking an MBA intern who will act as data or consulting analyst in project engagements in the healthcare industry in the areas of both data content development, including data collection and analysis, consulting engagement, eg. market opportunity assessment, go-to-market strategy, new product planning, customer insights, channel optimization, internal optimization, and benchmarking.

    This is a head start for someone who is keen to pursue a healthcare consulting career.

    Accountabilities

    How you will contribute:

  • Perform a range of tasks depending on the research projects needs
  • Act as the data or consulting analyst to lead during the course of the project engagement, including communicating project updates, presenting key milestones, pre-empting project issues, etc.
  • Write, proof or fact-check reports
  • Mentor and guide PTAs, ensuring that they meet their performance goals
  • Experience, skills and professional attributes

  • An MBA candidate from top tier universities, with a profound interest in healthcare, research, and solving business issues
  • Exceptional command of written and spoken Mandarin and English
  • Highly analytical, organized and meticulous consulting skills
  • Excellent people skills, and work well with people across all levels in the organization
  • Strong business acumen with ability to think inside and outside of the box
  • Self-awareness, flexible and focused on solutions not problems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
