- Collaborate with Project, Engineering and Procurement managers on project Material Control Plans
- Import Bill of Materials into Smart Materials in order to standardize the engineering request
- Create and release Requisitions for inquiry and purchase
- Maintain the EBOM as base on which warehouse issue material to contractor
- Provide timely material status reports to Project Managers
- Set the split rule for piping bulk material to assign them into planned purchase package automatically
- Briefly analyze the material status to avoid shortage and surplus in advance
- Occasionally travel internationally to support Air Products' global engineering teams
- 3-5 years of experience in material control for large capital projects, industrial gases or petrochemical projects preferred
- Proven experience with Smart Materials preferred
- Executed complex EPC project with the philosophy of advance work packaging preferred
- Strong knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) work processes
- Familiar with the essential milestone and corresponding duration time for EPC project execution
- Foundational knowledge of each engineering discipline and corresponding smart tool
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good English skill

The Material Controller is responsible for supporting the engineering, procurement and construction of industrial gas plants for both Air Products owned and sale of equipment facilities. This job holder will generate the requisition for equipment, steel, piping bulk material, instruments, cables and other hard goods which require engineering technical evaluation inevitably. Material Controller also report overall status of materials from requisitioning through issuing to contractor to cover entire supply chain.
