    About the Role

    As Head of Technology, China in our Institutional Technology team you'll play a key role and will be accountable for managing the effective and efficient operations of IT in the country, and for ensuring alignment with regional and global IT strategies in order to meet the needs of the ANZ China business and its customers.

    What will your day look like?

    As a Head of Technology, China, you will:

  • Providing technology business engagement, relationship management and consultancy to the country Executive Management Team and the country business.
  • Managing the ongoing budget and costs of IT services used by ANZ in country to maximise business value
  • Driving customer satisfaction through the delivery of stable and reliable technology services that are aligned with country business requirements.
  • Implementing effective technology risk management practices to ensure the security, integrity and availability of systems and information leveraged by ANZ in country.
  • Managing technology engagement with local regulators, and establishing processes to maintain and respond to regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Providing leadership to the country IT team and building management capability to deliver local services, manage outsourced services, and meet annual Technology performance objectives.
  • What will you bring?

    To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Substantial years' experience in the banking and financial services industry with proven experience managing a large complex application portfolio.
  • Strong leadership an influencing skills, across a diverse range of executive, business and technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage a technology function in a heavily regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a $10m-$20m budget.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for an executive audience (includes attendance and/or chairing executive and governance forums).
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin language (this role will interact with English and Mandarin speaking stakeholders)
