- Collaborate with Medical Strategy Lead within cross-functional team to define evidence needs of key stakeholders (Regulatory bodies, HCPs, Patients/caregivers, Payers, and HTA bodies) to serve the evolving healthcare environment;
- Support collaborative strategic planning and mapping of evidence generation activities with key internal stakeholders to develop aligned and integrated generation strategies and plans;
- Works closely with global representatives and partners responsible for executing evidence generation plan with input from multiple stakeholders;
- Provide strategic leadership on medical evidence activities in order to set standard for utilization of medical data.
- Coordinate the development and timely update of local publication plans across UCB multiple therapeutic areas.
- Liaise closely with external Health Care Professionals (HCP) and key opinion leaders (KOLs) as well as colleagues across the organization (Development, Safety, Discovery, Regulatory, Real-World Evidence (RWE), Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR), Commercial and external agencies to execute publication plan.
- Lead the preparation of any agreements related to the study, confidentiality agreements, any applications or other applicable country documents.
- Monitor study conduct and progress, proactively identifying and resolving issues which may impact delivery of the study results.
- Responsible for vendor management and budget.
- Responsible for maintaining publication compliance and ensuring that ethical and transparent standards and UCB procedures are adhered to.
- Facilitate the timely and ethical delivery of planned publications.
- Manage to go through all review process both in global and in China for local Publications.
- Minimum MSc degree required (preferably PhD)
- A minimum of 8+ years of Medical Affairs experience including field medical, medical strategy and medical publication, etc.
- Preferably with more than 3+ years of evidence generation or publication experience in pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with late-stage clinical studies publication, research collaborations and RWE.
- Proven track record of strong leadership, project management and demonstrated ability to coach and mentor individuals.
- Ability to communicate and interact thoughtfully, transparently, and appropriately with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external to UCB.
- Experience overseeing work of and mentoring other individuals with a variety of scientific and non-scientific backgrounds and training.
- Experience working in a global organization and within matrix structure highly desirable.
