- Lead regular reviews with regional engineering and attribute teams to identify creative solutions to deliver Design intent studio surfaces
- Challenge Engineering and initiate alternative technical studies to find the best possible technical solution to meet the Design intentions and Design Leadership
- Provide Designers and CAS Modelers with balanced engineering input
- Arbitrate and drive compromises between Engineering and Design
- Check surface, comfort and trim development according to standards and develop alternative solutions if required to support the Design Theme
- Maintain issue list pertaining to surface development, both Engineering and Design issues
- University Degree or equivalent experience, in Automotive Engineering / Industrial Design Engineering
- Minimum 1 Years' experience from complete seat development
- Demonstrates technical expertise in relevant areas
- A sound knowledge of feasibility, packaging and manufacturing processes
- An understanding of Studio, Design & Engineering processes
- Good skills in CATIA V
- 5, Alias, Maya and MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint proficient)
- Understand design sketches and be able to judge what technical solution needed to meet Design intentions
- Understand technical information from drawings and package models from Engineering
- Challenge R&D and initiate alternative technical studies to find the best possible technical solution to meet the Design intentions and Design Leadership.
- Explain in a good way to the CAS modeler and Designer how to take care of technical hard points
- Good knowledge in English, written and spoken
- Strong communication skills, being able to create internal and external networks
- Ability to lead, challenge and delegate responsibility
- Proactive and positive approach
- Experience on Seat development from OEM & Tie-1 Supplier
