    Overview
    A highly competent, detail oriented in-house counsel with commercial sense is required to provide overall legal support and advice for Supply Chain and Commercial of PepsiCo Foods China with main responsibilities on manufacturing, procurement, commercial indirect procurement, Quality and LD&T operation and projects.

    Responsibilities
    Independently partner with all Supply Chain Plant teams to pursue business AOP by providing effective and efficient legal support as required for plant operations and projects, which includes but not limited to draft, review, approve and standardize operational contracts (such as production line outsourcing, spare parts, oil, maintenance, waste disposal and etc.), support plant EHS initiatives, consultancy, plant projects.

     Independently Partner with Procurement team to pursue business AOP, key projects, initiatives and agendas by providing effective and efficient legal support for Procurement related matters, which includes but not limited to draft, review, approve and standardize procurement contracts (such as raw material, packaging, supply chain in-directs and etc), support supplier qualification and bidding, handle supplier disputes.

     Partner with Commercial lawyer to support China Food OU commercial team to pursue their AOP with focus on Commercial indirect procurement such as sales activation, events, office rent, sales meetings, merchandising, premiums, advice on the operational inquiries, and management of sales qualification certificate.

     Independently provide LD&T and QC teams with effective and efficient legal support on LD&T business operations and QC operations including but not limited to draft, review, review and standardize operational contracts, support supplier qualification and bidding, support food safety program, handle supplier disputes.

     Act as the lead of Contract COE and work with Food system lawyers to standardize, update and optimize all kinds of business contract to pursue high efficiency of contract work.

     Proactively monitor and maintain up-to-date with China legislation development, assess legal implication of new legislation & its change and provide practical solutions to mitigate the implication.

     Support Corporate legal team to build robust corporate governance and maintain corporate documentation.

     Raise capability of the Legal function by adopting best practice from across PepsiCo as well as externally and working towards simplifying and automating processes within the function.

     Assist lead counsel on major projects, ranging from negotiation, drafting and execution of complex agreements, high-impact litigation;

     Establish and maintain working relationships with in-house lawyers across the PepsiCo system to ensure global precedents and best practices are implemented;

     Lead targeted training to clients on matters such as contracts, legal tools, etc.;

     Undertake initiatives designed to enhance the capability of the Law Department.

    Qualifications

    • Law Degree from a middle-above tier law school.
    • Admitted to practice law with current legal practitioner's certificate.
    • Have 6-year or above experience at the lower end of the range, either all law firm or split between industry and Law firm.
    • Expertise in contract negotiation, draft, review, standardization, automation and management.
    • Be familiar with FMCG industry business and preferred to have the experience of supporting supply chain or procurement as an independent counsel.
    • Fluency in English & Chinese both spoken & written.
